The Hello Poster Show presents Forces of Nature, an all new poster exhibit featuring 16 different silkscreen posters. These limited edition, 2-color, 19″x25″ posters will be on sale in person this one night only for $20 each (cash only) with all proceeds benefitting Youth in Focus.

Forces of Nature Call for Entries!

The Hello Poster Show is thrilled to announce a Call for Entries for the new show, Forces of Nature.

Let your creative prowess run wild in creating a poster that fits into the broad theme of Forces of Nature. Craft a tenacious composition revealing the fierceness that is mother nature. Or maybe it is in your nature to design something all together out of this world. Either way, we want to be blown away by your entries.

The Hello Poster Show will select 16 Forces of Nature entries. Those entries will be printed and exhibited at Cupcake Royale on Capitol Hill in Seattle, Washington in April 2012.

The only cost to you is an entry fee of $5, payable via PayPal. The Hello Poster Show has been generously awarded a Sappi Ideas That Matter grant that will cover printing costs for the show. Only one entry per person is allowed. Collaborative entries are permitted and encouraged. In addition to having their poster exhibited as part of show, the selected entrants will receive 10 prints (of 30) of their poster. The remaining 20 prints will be sold at the show and online to benefit the non-profit Youth in Focus, a Seattle-based photography program that aims to empower urban teens through photography.

All entries are due SATURDAY, MARCH 10, 2012 at high noon (12pm). Entries must be submitted electronically through the Hello Poster Show’s Call for Entries page.

The Hello Poster Show is now accepting entries for LOST or FOUND, an all new silkscreen poster show to raise money for Youth in Focus, a Seattle-based afterschool program that uses intensive photography training as a tool to help disadvantaged teens develop personal voice, positive identity, social skills and artistic skills.

LOST or FOUND: choose one or the other and take the theme in any direction you’d like. Design a poster to tell people to GET LOST! Or create a composition to help people FIND their way. Either way, have fun with it and create something undeniably marvelous.

The Hello Poster Show will curate 14 selected entries, seven LOST posters and seven FOUND posters. The show will be exhibited at Elliott Bay Café inside Elliott Bay Bookstore on Capitol Hill in Seattle, Washington in April/May 2011.

Posters will be printed on 80lb BLACK PAPER stock with WHITE INK by the wonderful folks at Clone Press.

All entries are due by SATURDAY, APRIL 2, 2011. Entries must be submitted via email to hello@hellopostershow.com. Selected entrants will be notified of their selection by MONDAY, APRIL 4, 2011. Selected entrants will be billed $85 via PayPal, to be due by FRIDAY, APRIL 8, 2011

The cost to submit an entry is FREE! Maximum two entries per person. Collaborative entries are encouraged, so team up with a friend and make something doubly marvelous.

The Hello Poster Show, Melbourne Edition

Leisha Muraki is down unda and busy organizing a new HELLO Poster Show exhibition in Australia’s vibrant city of Melbourne.

All proceeds rasied from the Hello Poster Show Melbourne Edition benefit StreetSmart Australia, an organisation supporting and strengthening smaller, grassroots community efforts helping the homeless. More info at StreetSmartAustralia.org.

The exhibition will open in Thursday, December 16th at 1000 £ Bend – a cafe, gallery and cinema space in central Melbourne. The posters will additionally be exhibit here on hellopostershow.com.

Methodologie Hosts ‘The Best of Hello’

On Thursday, September 30th, 2010 the design studio of Methodologie in downtown Seattle hosted an exhibit featuring a selection of posters from both the Fall ’09 Hello show and the Spring ’10 Goodbye show.

A limited number of prints were for sale (including some previously sold out) with proceeds benefiting Wellspring Family Services. Over $2000 was raised in one evening. Thank you for all who attended and bought posters.

Goodbye; Opening Night Wrap Up

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a fun and successful opening night. The posters are stunning and the response is overwhelmingly positive. Over 125 posters were sold opening night. Poster #39 by Jonny Sikov sold out in less than an hour!

Four lucky raffle winners took home a framed poster of their choice. By popular vote, our best poster was Poster #39 designed by Jonny Sikov. In close second was Poster #35 designed by Lily Donovan-Seid / Eli Heuer and in strong third was Poster #45 by Derek Shimizu. Congratulations, all.

Special thanks to all those who helped with the show setup and with keeping things running smoothly throughout the night. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Spring 2010 : Goodbye Edition

Opening night festivities will include a vote for the Best-In-Show as well as great raffle prizes for our guests! Best-In-Show and raffle prizes will be announced at 8pm, so come early to nab your raffle tickets + vote for your favorite poster!

HELLO Gives Back!

All proceeds will benefit 826 Seattle, a nonprofit writing center that helps students, ages 6 to 18, develop their creative and expository writing skills. They are dedicated to providing students with access to writing workshops, publishing projects, and one-on-one help with homework and English learning – all free of charge.
